2023-2024 Region I Vice President - Logan Bowers
Hello everyone! My name is Logan Bowers, and I am currently serving as your Region 1 Vice President. I am a Senior at Maple Valley Jr/Sr High School where I am Student Representative to the School Board, High School Student Council President, NHS President, Yearbook Executive Officer, Class of 2024 President, and Marching Band Drum Major. I have been in FFA since my 8th grade year, and I’m currently serving as chapter President of the Maple Valley FFA. I show hogs, dairy feeder calves, and dairy market steers at the Eaton County Fair. I love FFA so much because it teaches so many leadership skills and opens new doors for so many people. After high school I plan on attending Michigan State University to become an Agricultural Educator and FFA Advisor.
Vice President: why do you keep a plow at your station?
"The plow is the symbol of labor and tillage of the soil. Without labor, neither knowledge nor wisdom can accomplish much. My duties require me to assist at all times in directing the work of our organization. I preside over meetings in the absence of our president, whose place is beneath the rising sun."

Committee Ideas for a Vice President
Creating committees:
Try to involve everyone and get each individual into something they are interested in. For example, if someone enjoys Natural Resources, get them on that committee. If they enjoy taking charge of situations and setting up activities, get them in Recreation.
Organization:
Keep records of each committee and their duties in different folders, labeled with the name of that committee.
Committee meetings:
Have fun, bring refreshments and perhaps play some music. Brainstorm, don't just do the regular routine. Think of things new that can be done. Don't just do what everyone else has done in the past.
