Region I Terri Ann Holtz Award
Terri Ann Holtz was a member of the Centreville FFA Chapter. She worked hard with her SAE projects. She was a leader, a friend, and a daughter. She did everything in her power to help others and to make a difference in the lives of people around her. Tragically, her life was taken in a car accident in 2000- just weeks before her county fair. Going into her senior year of high school, she had all of her life ahead of her.
Terri Ann set a standard for all of Region I to live up to, and each year we honor her at camp and all that she has done for her chapter, region, and the National FFA Organization.
The Terri Ann Holtz award was introduced at the 2001 Region I Leadership Camp in her honor. The plaque presented this year at camp will go to a junior in high school who is an outstanding FFA member in Region I. This person should also exhibit qualities such as leadership and citizenship; one who goes above and beyond just an FFA member, someone who is always striving to improve their chapter, and is a friend to all.
The award selection will be a one-page application filled out by the member, and two letters of recommendation - one from their FFA advisor. The selection process may also include an interview.
One member from Region I will receive this award per year, and they will receive a plaque in honor of Terri Ann Holtz, but most importantly, this person will carry on Terri Ann's memory, philosophy, and spirit for the rest of his or her life.
Applications for this award are due to Mrs. Hannah Hoff by February 7, 2024.
